Thanks, I appreciate your effort and love this band, but I'll be deleting this because the sound quality is so bad. It's not the original quality, which is about C+, but the mp3 encoding that I think is the problem. It sounds like it was transcoded (converted) from another lossy format (perhaps the hideous sounding wma or even just another mp3 bit-rate) and has a high-pitched artefact that really hurts my ears.
It's a shame, really, but oh,well.
Its definately 03 August 1970 at Fillmore West.
It's not transcoded, just not a great recording to begin with. Believe it or not, back in the early days of tape trading we gladed accepted much worse just for a chance to check it out. I'm guessing you downloaded the MC5, and all I can tell you is it's extremely rare and probably the only available source of that particular show and a rare preview of Miss X which was a song they were working out for High Times but never made it on there. Sorry it wasn't to your liking.
