MELTDOWN

Sorry for the lack of posts recently on this blog, i've had one computer related problem after another in the last month. Now that those problems have been sorted, it appears that Rapidshare have removed all my uploads from my account. Whether this has been deliberate or accidental, i have no idea at the moment as i'm waiting to hear back from them. The links haven't been deleted, and are still active, but they're nowhere to be found in my account. Most puzzling and extremely annoying, so until i resolve this one way or another there will be no new posts here. Fear not, i will return, but it may take a little while. In the meantime, i will continue to add music to the archive blog which you can find at : http://guntherspaps.blogspot.com/
Hopefully, this'll tide you all over until NILOOB rises again. Many thanks to all of you who have followed, supported, collaborated on, or contributed to the blog over the years. It wouldn't have been the same without you all along for the ride, this is NOT the end.

Hi Kit - best of luck in sorting the problem, and hopefully Live + Otherwise will be OK. I'm sure that all those who follow your blog will stick around and keep checking in. Thanks for updating us and as ever thanks for all your work in delivering the goods. Will head on over to Still Alive as you suggest. Keep on rockin. Take care, Blofeld

I've been having computer and internet issues for over a month, so i know what a pain it is! :-(
A question during this intermission... last September you posted a single by Ritual containing 'Into the Night' b/w 'Burning'. In the description it mentions a date of 1981. However, I recently talked to someone who owns a copy and the copyright given on the picture sleeve is 1990. I think the posted single is actually the 1990 single that's also mentioned in the Shadow Kingdom reissue of the band's 'Widow' album. The reissue liner notes also reference a 'Burning' single issued in 1980 or 1981 (they really got some mileage out of that tune, as it also appeared on both of their albums). Is anyone familiar with that 1980-81 single? If so, I'd appreciate any information, such as what's on the b-side, if it came with a picture sleeve, etc. Thanks for any info!

I was told by a mate recently that they are cracking down on sites like Rapidshare etc etc becuase of music piracy. I hope this is wrong as i will miss the stuff you put up but i've heard there are big changes ahead around downloading.

Hey, i've been checkin' in every week for the past few years and I hope you manage to sort out the problems. I've appreciated all the music you open my ears to. I'll stick around in the hope that live & otherwise rises from the ashes! Good luck, all the best - cheers.

Hiya folks, just a quick word to let you know that we'll be back in action soon. Many thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, it's kept me going over this difficult spell.
Chances are posts will be in the same style as previously, but i'll probably only be posting twice a month initially.
Quality over quantity.
See you soon,
bigfootkit

Kit, good news !
I hope to bask in the reflected glow of your wit I have come to depend on. Please don't forget those clever post titles we Yanks are always scratching our heads over, trying to find the hidden dirty meanings.

It's interesting to see just how pervasive memory has become in our lives. It seems like everytime I turn my head, I see something with a card slot or USB port, haha. I guess it makes sense though, considering how much more afforable memory has become lately...

Ahhh... who am I to complain. I can't get by a day without using my R4 / R4i!
