After listening to the Handsome Beasts BBC session have you any full albums of theirs. It was quality. Also have you anything from a band called Spider? I remember seeing them at Reading Rock in 1982.
I was wondering if anyone out there has PET HATE's "Bad Publicity" album from 1984. I haven't been able to find that one anywhere.
It gets lumped in as NWOBHM, but it sounded more like sleaze-glam as I recall. (They even opened for Hanoi Rocks at one point.)
If anyone can come up with a nice vinyl rip of that one (I don't think it ever came out on CD) I'd really really appreciate it!

Pet Hate formed from the ashes of Silverwing and made a couple of albums 'The Bride Wore Red' & 'Bad Publicity'. I also remember seeing them on the telly (E.C.T.) and am pretty sure they done a session for the Friday Rock Show. Those were the dayze!

I was thinking it might have been a band called Rox, remember them?
I remember that ECT show too, there were some good performances on there, Motorhead, Rogue Male & Madame X in particular.
Wonder what the chances are of a dvd release of that?
Slim to none most likely.

Hi Guys, Wow, really weird seeing someone interested in this band now, not meant as an insult to anyone, but thought we were part of the forgotten 80's lol.
I say 'we', as I was in Pet Hate for a while, although credited on both albums, I joined just after the first was recorded but before it was released, so still got my name on the sleeve :)
Truth be told, I didn't have much to do with the second one, as I recall I was a few days late for recording, living in Newcastle where the band was near Manchester. There were also the usual 'musical differences' and as I joined when they were already formed I was kinda outvoted on direction etc.
I would also greatly appreciate any photos/mp3's etc, as I dont have anything physical left as a reminder, just some fading memories, ahhh age is a terrible thing!
Can still remember a few amusing (well to me, to everyone else it's probably some baldy git banging on about his 'glory days') stories, if anyones interested will do a post.

I am the first love of the drummer Steve Roberts with whom I was attached at the hip for almost 5 years in the '70's - from the tender age of 13!!!!(He was nearly 17!!) He too was my first love and I regret the way we ended! We saw each other from time to time after that and now at the tender age of 47 (!!??) I still think of him often, and his family, Dave, Neil, Maureen and David and their beloved dog at the time, Cindy (named after a Road Stewart track of the same name as The Faces were Steve's favourite band at the time, although he wouldn't have admitted that in the days of Pet Hate, Silverwing or No Fit State!!
I hear he is married now to Philippa Jane, and I am married to Pete, have a 9 year old daughter, Rebecca Charlotte and live in Nova Scotia, Canada, but we are moving to the Grand Bahamas in couple of months. I would dearly love to hear from him if anyone knows how to put us in touch (he used to live in Macclesfield, Chshire - I still remember his 'phone number!!)
